*overstuffed*
I used Rasa Malaysia's Yong Tow Foo stuffed chillies recipe and Tigerfish's use of rice noodle and garlic to create this flavorful, colorful simple dish.
To make the Yong Tow Foo:
2 stalks scallion
9 red chillies
3 dashes of white pepper
1 tub of fish cha ca
Yong Tow Foo Sauce:
2 tbsp of garlic
2 teaspoon sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon starch
Rice Noodles:
Oil for frying
Rice noodles
1 clove of Garlic
2 stalks scallions
Directions:
Thaw the cha ca the night before. Chop scallions and 1 red chilli and mix w/ cha ca and 3 dashes of white pepper. Deseed chillies and cut off the tops. Place the mixture into the chillies and place in steamer. Steam for 5-10 minutes. Heat up oil. Stir fry w/ garlic and scallions. Break up noodles and place into the mix. The rice noodles will soften. Once done plate rice noodles and place chillis on top. Pour over Yong Tow Foo Sauce. Makes two large *overstuffed* servings.
Do you like my little steamer? I just got it. It was only 10 dollars. :D It's cute and it is three levels high. 2 for steaming and 1 for the boiling water. :D

Yes, I love your steamer!!! :) Mine has two levels, too, but it's electronic, ie, I don't put it directly on the stove.
By the way, thanks for writing to me on my blog, but I don't know where your message disappeared to! I'd approved it, but it just wasn't published! Bizare....
hi budding cook, it's me again! OK, I found your message, but when did you turn 30? I saw it in your meme, but there was no date on the post! Happy belated birthday! I'm no longer fretting about being 30 now! :)
Pretty nice, bud. Is it really spicy?
Oooh, good combination - stir-fried rice noodles plus Yong Tow Foo I can almost imagine the taste...good idea. :)

rasa - thanks! :D the recipe was quite tasty. :)
That steamer is so brand spanking new it's shiny. :) Now you can make those steamed wontons better than in the American electric steamers.
Those overstuffed chillies look so adorable & sumptious!
Another good deal you have got, this time on the steamer. Nice. Was it difficult to fry the rice noodle ?
